Day 003 | Voice | Violet City

Y'know, I have to say. Despite how nice other cities probably are... this is the best one I've seen. Maybe I'm jus' that simple kinda country folk. Hard to say.

So, seein' as I'm thinkin' about it... you guys got a favorite city or town here? Tell me about it. Wouldn't mind puttin' a few marks on my map.

Well then, each town will be good 'nough to visit. Think I'm going to spend a bit more time here. [He blows a puff of smoke.] So, I gotta question for you. You stayin' in Violet any longer?

[Scritches his chin in thought.] A couple of days probably until my prey gets bored here too. Why, what's up?

[He thinks on it for a moment.] Interested in dinner?

[Tilts his head and thinks it over. He also has no idea it's a date. None. Might want to spell that out to him sometime. But Smoker just considers it and nods firmly.] Yeah, sure. Want me to show you around?

Oh, I wear everythin' well.

[Oh no, he has a plan for that.] Yeah sure. How about... Wednesday, six pm? Go for a walk, have some dinner, and what not.

Yeah, sure, that'll be fine.

[Oh good, because Smoker is dense and still off thinking that it's something serious that has to be discusses in person. Total disconnect.]

Want to meet outside the pokecenter?

Yeah sounds good to me. Pretty central location, I think.

[But he puts his sunglasses on before blushing too much. The red tinge is definitely obvious around his ears and where the glasses don't cover up, however.]

[Okay, he'll just figure it out later. Or something. Damn it. He can't even ask Robin or someone. When was the last time he was even on a date that wasn't with Kazooie? And it might not even be like that... his life. What even.]

[Oh my god you're the cutest... but that whole thing does concern him a bit.]

[YUP HE CONFIRMED IT. congratulations smoker it's a date.]

[Oh okay. Blushing even more red. And just nods mutely, glad this is locked.]

Yeah, that's fine. [Nods. And tries to think a little more clearly than just focusing on not being so bright red. He's failing, but trying. What could he even say? It's been awhile? He's flattered? Surprised? Yeah, he's just gonna be tongue-tied a little more.]

[Well, if he says it's fine, it's... got to be fine. Right?]

...Well, if yer sure. Don't want to force you into nothin'. [He's also really damn cute and he's not sure what to do with that.]

You seriously like Violet? But it's the worst town in Johto!

[Riku visibly shudders. Somebody has a strong bias against it, yup.]

So point me somewhere better. Cause that's what I'm lookin' for.

Well, Azalea's pretty dull, Goldenrod's a big city with plenty to do, but it might be a little too busy... Ecruteak's got some nice atmosphere, and it's got loads of history behind it. And if you like beaches, Olivine's probably your best bet.

Well from what it sounds like, Ecruteak's my best bet. That's north, right?

Yeah, it's straight past Goldenrod. Bit of a walk, but at least you don't have to spend a week or two wandering through a cave to get there.

Mmm... a walk, huh? That might be hard. [He chuckled though.]

Could always catch a ride on a Pokémon, too.

I ain't sure my Hoppip would appreciate that. At all.

You could always catch an Onix. Or maybe see if you can borrow somebody's Arcanine; some trainers are pretty open to it.

Hm. That might not be a bad idea. I'll look into it.

The borrowin', not sure an Onix would be a good fit for me.

I think Goldenrod is my favorite by far! Although I haven't seen much of Kanto yet.

Well, guess I'll get to see what all the fuss is about eventually. What do you like about it?

It's really big! And busy too. I've always liked big cities. There's a lot to do here too!
